Disable View Functionality
This applies to: Managed Dashboards, Managed Reports
Application privileges assigned on user groups and accounts by an administrator determine which application functionality and UI options are accessible to each non-administrator user. Some of these privileges, such as the ability to use the context menu, can also be disabled in a particular view or on each of its visualizations. Disabling application privileges this way will apply to all non- administrator users viewing that dashboard, report, or other view, even if they are otherwise granted those privileges.
You can also customize view functionality, such as which options should be available under Re-Visualize in the context menu, rather than disabling the corresponding privilege completely.
Note: The properties on a view or visualization can only disable application privileges. To grant additional privileges to users, an administrator must set their application privileges.
Disable Application Privileges on the View
With nothing selected on the canvas, open the Properties window for the dashboard or other view.
In the Features category, click the plus under Disabled Application Privileges.
Select all the privileges you want to disable on this view.
Disable Application Privileges on an Element
Select an individual element of the view such as a data visualization and open the Properties window.
In the Features category, click the plus under Disabled Application Privileges.
Select all the privileges you want to disable.
Note: You are indicating which privileges to disable on this specific data visualization. This will not affect other visualizations, even if they display the same metric set.
Limit Re-Visualize Options
Select a data visualization and open the Properties window.
In the Features category, click the plus under Allowed Re-Visualizing Options.
Select all the visualization options you want to be available for viewers.
To test, right-click the data visualization and select Re-Visualize.
