Create Tenant Projects
When you create a new tenant in Symphony, you're creating an isolated work area for specific clients, departments, or lines of business. Content you work with in Symphony that uses Managed Dashboards or Reports content are organized inside of projects you can use to structure your content as needed.
When you create a tenant, Symphony generates several projects for your users to work in:
My Project - A personal project, unique to each user. Everyone can use their My Project work area to create dashboards for prototyping or quick analysis.
<GLOBAL> - A global project, shared across all users inside your environment. Use this project to store any items common to your other projects for reuse. You need to isolate users from the <GLOBAL> projects if sharing across tenants is not a requirement for your organization. See Remove access to the GLOBAL project.
<tenant name> - A tenant-based project, shared across all users inside of your tenant. Use this project to store any items common to your other tenant projects for reuse.
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can add more projects for your use, or as a tenant administrator for all tenant members to use.
As a system administrator or tenant administrator, you can create new projects for tenants in your environment.
Whether you use only the <tenant name> project, or create more projects, you'll next need to add the Data Discovery connector for your tenant users, then isolate tenant users from the <GLOBAL> project.
