Multi-Tenancy in Symphony
Multi-tenancy allows administrators to easily create and manage tenants. Each tenant has its own complete set of administrators, users, and groups.
One use of a multi-tenant instance is for a SaaS solution provider who wants to enhance their software BI and analytics capabilities by integrating Symphony content. Additionally, you can deploy a multi-tenant instance to deploy a client-facing portal, or to support a large internal deployment that requires complete isolation between different departments or lines of business.
Symphony tenants are specially designed to be completely isolated from other tenants in a single Symphony instance where:
Each tenant can have its own content
Content can be shared with all tenants using optional data security based on who is logged on
You can design an environment where a combination of both approaches is used
Important: You must have the appropriate licensing from insightsoftware to see this option.
There are several steps you'll take to deploy multi-tenancy in your environment. Create the tenants, define an admin user for the tenant, create tenant projects, set up access to data connectors, and create users within the tenant.
