About the Supplied Symphony Tenants

One unique Symphony tenant is created during the installation process: Visual Data Discovery and includes all global users in Symphony.

When you, as a global user, work in the Managed Dashboard and Managed Reports modules, Visual Data Discovery is not shown as a tenant in the user interface. When you, as a global user, work in the Visual Data Discovery modules, your tenant is shown as Visual Data Discovery in the user interface.

• The Visual Data Discovery tenant is a dedicated and permanent tenant that cannot be deleted. The supplied admin user and other system admin users can maintain other tenants and perform system administrator-level functions.

• Other users can be assigned as admins of any tenant. See Create and Add Additional Tenant Admin Users.

Important: When you install v23.4 of Symphony in your environment, a default tenant , Visual Data Discovery, is created to manage users and content within your instance.
