Create a New Tenant
When you create a new tenant in Symphony, you're creating an isolated work area for specific clients, departments, or lines of business. You'll create a tenant, assign an administrative user, create a project for the tenant, and define a data connector. Complete the isolation of the tenant by removing access to the GLOBAL project, then add or create your tenant users.
Log in as the supplied admin user or a system administrator.
Select Tenants from the main menu. The Tenant work area opens.
Select Create to create a new tenant. The Create tenant work area opens.
-
Add a Tenant name.
Note: By default, the tenant is enabled by default. If you're not ready to enable this tenant, disable by sliding the Enabled toggle to the left.
-
Select Create tenant to complete the initial tenant creation.
A message is returned indicating the tenant is successfully created, and is added to the list of tenants in the Tenants work area.
Next, create an admin user for your new tenant.
Create the first admin user for your new tenant as a system admin
After you've created your tenant, create at least one admin user for the new tenant.
Log in as the supplied admin user (System Administrator).
Select Users from the main menu on the Symphony home page. The Users work area opens.
-
Select Create. A Create user pop up window opens.
-
Supply values for the User name, Full name, Email, and Password. Select your new Tenant from the drop-down list.
Note: The default Tenant is Global User, and cannot be changed if no other tenants exist. Enable Make user an admin to make this user the admin of your selected tenant, or of Symphony if no tenant is selected.
Select Create user. A success message is displayed, and the admin user is added to Symphony for your selected tenant.
